Bedrooms & Bathrooms at Thatchby Oak
Thatchby Oak has six bedrooms and five bathrooms, with five bedrooms on the first floor and a sixth twin bedroom built into the eaves on the second floor. The sleeping arrangement combines three king-size bedrooms and three twin rooms, giving good flexibility for extended families and mixed groups.
| Bedroom | Floor | Sleeping Arrangement | Bathroom |
| Bedroom 1 | First floor | King-size bed | En-suite shower room |
| Bedroom 2 | First floor | Twin beds | Shared bathrooms |
| Bedroom 3 | First floor | King-size bed | Shared bathrooms |
| Bedroom 4 | First floor | Twin beds | Shared bathrooms |
| Bedroom 5 | First floor | King-size bed | En-suite shower room |
| Bedroom 6 | Second floor | Twin 2ft 6in beds | En-suite shower room |
The first floor also has two shared bathrooms: one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath and shower over.
How does the bedroom layout work for 12 guests?
Ten guests sleep across the five first-floor bedrooms. The final two guests use the twin room in the eaves on the second floor.
The second-floor twin beds are narrower 2ft 6in beds, and Toad Hall describes this room as particularly suitable for children. For that reason, the full 12-person arrangement may work especially well for families with children or teenagers rather than six adult couples.
Guests booking for ten or fewer during qualifying low-season periods may have the second-floor bedroom closed as part of the reduced-price arrangement.
Is Thatchby Oak accessible?
An access statement is available from the booking provider, but the bedrooms are on the first and second floors. I would therefore not assign our Accessible Accommodation attribute without evidence that the property meets the accessibility standard we want Large Cottages to use.
