Location & Things to Do Near Talland 5

Talland 5 sits within the Talland Bay development on the South Cornwall coast between Polperro and Looe. The setting combines quieter beach days and coastal scenery with easy access to two of the area's best-known harbour towns.

Talland Bay itself is made up of two small coves separated by a rocky headland. Talland Sands is the larger of the two and retains sand at high and low tide, while Rotterdam Beach is smaller and quieter. Both are suitable for swimming, and at lower tide the exposed rocks and pools give children plenty to explore.

The South West Coast Path passes directly through Talland Bay. One of the best local walks heads west towards Polperro, around 2.5 miles on a circular route, with a mixture of cliff scenery, farmland and harbour views. The route east towards Looe is longer and more demanding in places but rewards walkers with extensive coastal views.

Polperro is one of Cornwall's most characterful fishing villages, with narrow lanes, whitewashed cottages, galleries, pubs and restaurants gathered around the harbour. Looe offers a different atmosphere, with a larger beach, working fishing harbour, shops and boat trips.
