Overview of Mount Bank

Mount Bank is a stylish four-bedroom holiday home sleeping eight in the heart of Lymington, one of the New Forest coast's most appealing market towns. Renovated and refurbished in 2022, the house combines contemporary interiors with an exceptionally convenient location just minutes from the High Street. Discover a wide range of large holiday homes in Lymington in Hampshire here.

The ground floor is particularly well arranged for a group holiday. A large open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge space forms the main social hub, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and dining table for all eight guests. Bi-fold doors open directly onto the enclosed courtyard, while a separate snug gives children, teenagers or part of the group another room to relax in.

All four bedrooms are upstairs. A super king and king bedroom each have their own en-suite shower room, while a double and twin share the family bathroom. This makes Mount Bank particularly useful for two families or several couples who want more bathroom space than many large cottages provide.

The location is one of the strongest reasons to book. Lymington's shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are close enough to walk to in minutes, while Town Quay and the marinas bring the Solent and sailing atmosphere into the centre of the holiday. Continue along the waterfront and the landscape opens into the Lymington and Keyhaven marshes, with the Solent Way following the seawall towards Keyhaven.

For groups wanting a large holiday home that combines town convenience, coast and access to the New Forest, Mount Bank is exceptionally well placed.

Location & Things to Do Near Mount Bank

Mount Bank's central Lymington position gives a group an unusually easy mix of town, coast and New Forest countryside. The Georgian High Street is just a short walk away, with independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs stretching down towards the waterfront. On Saturdays, the Charter Market fills much of the High Street and adds an extra reason to explore locally rather than heading straight out for the day.

Continue downhill to Town Quay and Lymington's maritime character takes over. Fishing boats, yachts and ferries move along the river, while the marinas provide a backdrop for waterside walks. Sailing, kayaking and boat trips are all part of the local scene, and the ferry from Lymington provides an easy day trip to the Isle of Wight.

Families visiting in warmer months can head to Lymington Sea Water Baths, a large historic outdoor seawater pool with inflatable sessions and paddleboarding at selected times.

Walkers have one of the area's best coastal routes close by. From Lymington, the Solent Way follows the seawall through the Lymington and Keyhaven Marshes, an extensive landscape of lagoons, grazing marsh and saltmarsh particularly important for birdlife. The views stretch across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight.

Milford on Sea is around four miles away for a beach day and cliff-top walks. Continue towards Keyhaven for the ferry to Hurst Castle or walk the long shingle spit if the group wants a more energetic outing.

The New Forest interior is also within easy reach, allowing a week at Mount Bank to combine harbour life, coastal wildlife, beach days and forest walks without committing to just one style of holiday.
