Overview of Corner Cottage

Corner Cottage is a characterful four-bedroom holiday home sleeping eight near Ringwood, positioned on a quiet country lane at the edge of the New Forest National Park. Direct access to the forest makes it particularly appealing to walkers and cyclists, while Ringwood's shops, restaurants and everyday facilities are only a short drive away. Find our full range of large holiday cottages in Ringwood here.

Inside, the house offers considerably more living space than many cottages sleeping eight. The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area forms the main social hub, with a breakfast bar, dining table for eight and comfortable seating. A completely separate sitting room adds another place to relax, particularly useful when adults and children want different things from an evening at home.

One of the four bedrooms is on the ground floor and has a king-size bed. Upstairs are a large super king master suite, a double and a twin, giving two families or a multi-generational group a straightforward sleeping arrangement. Two bathrooms and an additional ground-floor WC support the group at full occupancy.

The gardens are another major part of the appeal. Large lawns wrap around several sides of the cottage, while a terrace provides space for outdoor meals and drinks. Children have a trampoline and swing, and there is plenty of room for the family to spend time outside.

Corner Cottage also works particularly well as a touring base. Ringwood, Blashford Lakes, New Forest Water Park and Moors Valley are close by, while Highcliffe, Avon Beach and Mudeford bring the coast within around 25 minutes by car.

Who is Corner Cottage Best For?

Corner Cottage works especially well for two families sharing. The super king and ground-floor king bedrooms provide comfortable rooms for parents, while the double and twin can be allocated between children, teenagers or other family members.

A multi-generational family may prefer to use the ground-floor bedroom for grandparents or anyone who would rather avoid using the stairs frequently. There is also a cloakroom on this floor, although the main bathrooms are upstairs.

The two separate living areas are another advantage for a mixed-age group. Children can use the sitting room for films, games or the Xbox while adults relax in the larger open-plan living space.

Walkers and cyclists should also appreciate having direct access to the New Forest, together with bicycle storage at the property.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms at Corner Cottage

Corner Cottage sleeps eight across four bedrooms, with one king-size bedroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms upstairs.

The first floor contains the principal super king suite, a double and a twin. This combination gives the house a particularly useful layout for two families or a multi-generational group.

Group Accommodation Layout

Bedroom Sleeping Arrangement Bathroom
Bedroom 1 Super king-size bed En-suite shower room
Bedroom 2 Double bed Family bathroom
Bedroom 3 Twin 3ft single beds Family bathroom
Bedroom 4 King-size bed Ground-floor WC, main bathrooms upstairs

The principal first-floor bedroom has a 6ft super king-size bed and its own dressing room with built-in wardrobe. Its en-suite shower room has a shower cubicle, twin basins and WC.

Bedroom 2 has a 4ft 6in double bed with wardrobe and dressing table.

Bedroom 3 contains two full-size 3ft single beds.

The ground-floor fourth bedroom has a 5ft king-size bed and wardrobe, providing useful sleeping accommodation away from the three upstairs bedrooms.

How does the layout work for a group of 8?

For two families sharing, the super king and ground-floor king bedrooms can accommodate parents, while the double and twin rooms provide four further sleeping spaces.

A multi-generational group could place grandparents in the ground-floor bedroom, leaving the three first-floor bedrooms for parents, children or other family members.

The twin bedroom also works well for siblings, teenagers or friends who prefer separate beds.

Having a separate sitting room downstairs gives the sleeping arrangement additional flexibility in practice, as different generations can also enjoy their own relaxation space during the day and evening.

Bathroom Layout

The principal super king bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, twin basins and WC.

The remaining upstairs bedrooms use the family bathroom, which has a slipper bath beneath a lantern skylight, separate shower cubicle, basin and WC.

There is also a cloakroom with basin and WC on the ground floor.
